data proposes drawing as a way of connecting and continuously recording reality. Developed over three months, the work grew through the collection and copying of different elements, assembled into a network of images joined by visible seams of paper and glue. These joints remain intentionally exposed, creating a sense of movement, exchange, and ambiguity between the fragments.

The work reflects on how artificial intelligence learns through vast accumulations of data. Layers of tracing paper allow images to appear and disappear simultaneously, echoing the opacity of algorithmic systems whose internal processes remain largely invisible.

Within this field appears the figure of the weaver, opening a reflection on manual labour in an age increasingly shaped by automation. Weaving becomes a metaphor for the interlacing of data, knowledge, and images, while also pointing to the persistence of the human hand within technological systems.

The circular image in the upper corner merges Photo 51—Rosalind Franklin’s X-ray image crucial to the discovery of DNA’s structure, whose contribution was long underestimated—with the growth rings of a cut tree trunk.

Rather than proposing a new hierarchy, data reflects on how knowledge, technology, and the human position are being reconfigured today.

Refining this piece before giving it a long drying period. I’ve had too many incidents firing refractory clay, with works exploding due to residual moisture trapped inside. Hoping this extra care will make a difference.

TO AN EXPLOSIVE END OF 2025

Like many of the uncertain endeavors I embarked on this year, this one didn’t go as expected either. Lesson learned: I still have so much to learn about this incredible material. Ceramics demand skill, knowledge—and sometimes a little bit of luck doesn’t hurt.

What likely went wrong here is that, since I didn’t plan to glaze it, I brought the piece straight to the highest firing temperature. Even though it looked dry, it probably still contained some moisture, which ultimately caused it to crack. Another possible reason is that the two types of clay had different shrinking rates, leading to a collapse in the structure.

Either way, it’s sad that it happened, but I also don’t entirely mind this outcome. Broken, but still standing.

Here is my first batch of aged thorns.
These have rested for one month, covered with a mixture of moss, yogurt, and soil.
During this period, I also watered them to achieve that limescale formation on their surface. Overall, I’m very intrigued by the results. With this technique, it’s possible to create different effects depending on how long they are kept in a humid environment.
Since I have a soft spot for aged terracotta, I’ll give mine more time in the yogurt–moss–water mixture.

Looking back at this process, it is quite satisfying to see the clay being shattered, turn into mud and to transform into a new shape.

This first batch of fired terracotta thorns is currently going through an exciting and hopefully transformative aging process. Creating a natural patina can be an interesting alternative to glazing to achieve different surface effects. It’s definitely also cheaper, which doesn’t hurt since I am making many of those. Hopefully this online hack works. <3.

For this project I am assembling different kinds of materials. What you see here is the cardboard stencil of what I imagine the final piece to look like. The material will be different but this step is very helpful to determine whether this even works or not, and if something needs change it’s better to modify things at this stage than in the next one. This one is a bit of a mental riddle, but I’m excited to see were it goes.

In the summer of 2022 I decided to go thorn picking from my mom’s roses.
I had no idea what I wanted to do with the collected thorns, but I felt that there was something about this action that I could include in my art making. It’s now 3 years later and I’m still not sure how I can include these in my practice, but I am experimenting by making huge thorns out of them and testing how they might interact with an environment.
Here are the first 5 I have made, there are more to come. 🥀♥️

In the making of these cute, undefined creatures, I found myself wondering whether I could translate the feeling of embroidered lace onto clay — aiming for that airy, almost transparent quality. I’ve definitely been shaping them with the idea of this sheer, delicate fabric in mind. It’s a bit of a nostalgic, living-in-the-attic kind of vibe.

This video turned out a little different from the others—not just because it wasn’t filmed with a phone camera, but also because I was listening to a podcast out loud while creating these strange flowers. Since that was a bit of a slip on my part, I wasn’t sure whether to keep the original audio in the edit or remove it. In the end, I decided to leave it in, creating this non-linear audio collage from a conversation with Eric Weinstein on the podcast DOAC. It definitely gives off a cryptic vibe.
